Open Seven Days - 10am to 4pm

Revel in Rugby and all its heritage

Visit the iconic New Zealand Rugby Museum in Palmerston North, home to the world's first museum dedicated to the oval ball.

You'll be rewarded with a trip back in time exploring the rich history and folklore of New Zealand's national game, discovering the stories, legends and myths.  Along the way you will get a feel for the real New Zealand by learning how its rich rugby heritage has shaped and been shaped by our country.

It's not every day you can see the nation's treasures in their reality, the first All Blacks match programme, a 1905 'Originals' jersey and the whistle from the final Test of the 'Invincibles' tour, to today's playing kit.

Test out your rugby skills - kicking, tackling, leaping, sprinting and pushing - in the 'Have a Go' area. If the kids are with you they'll love to imitate their heroes!
